Job Description:
As an Ayurvedic Doctor at Anantara Hotels & Resorts, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the wellness experience for our guests. You will be responsible for performing Ayurvedic consultations, educating guests about Ayurveda and Yoga, and conducting wellness seminars and Yoga sessions. Your expertise will contribute to our guests’ holistic well-being, providing them with memorable and enriching experiences during their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultations and Treatments:
- Perform Ayurvedic consultations for guests, adhering to the principles and practices of Ayurveda and Yoga.
- Diagnose guests’ health conditions and recommend appropriate Ayurvedic treatments and therapies.
- Prescribe Ayurvedic medications and wellness plans according to legal standards and resort policies.
- Education and Seminars:
- Educate guests on Ayurveda, Yoga, and holistic wellness practices.
- Conduct educational seminars, lectures, and workshops for guests, staff, and other business needs.
- Ensure all educational activities are delivered to professional standards.
- Yoga Sessions:
- Conduct Yoga lessons for guests and staff as per agreed schedules.
- Lead group Yoga sessions for special occasions or upon specific requests.
- Customize Yoga programs to suit individual guest needs and wellness goals.
- Record Keeping and Privacy:
- Maintain accurate and professional records of guest consultations, personal details, and relevant files.
- Ensure all records are kept in accordance with legal and resort requirements, both in hard copy and digital formats.
- Adhere to and implement privacy policies to protect guest confidentiality.
- Standards and Follow-Up:
- Ensure all consultations, from initial questions to examinations, are performed to legal and resort standards.
- Record and follow up on guest progress, ensuring all follow-up consultations are documented and explained to guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the SPA Manager to ensure all prescriptions and wellness plans meet the required standards and formats.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Certificate from the Ayurveda Medical Council of Sri Lanka is a MUST.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in designing and delivering wellness packages to guests.
- Experience working in luxury SPAs is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Good command of the English language.
- Strong knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct engaging and informative seminars and workshops.
