The Clerical Assistant will contribute to maintaining the office space by providing support on day-to-day operations. The Clerical Assistant will work closely with other PRO-INFO staff as needed under the supervision of the Senior Administration Officer.

Your Background & Skills

  • Experience working in a similar capacity. Familiarity with USAID requirements preferred.
  • Customer-service orientation and courteous manner.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Must be skilled at handling multiple tasks.
  • Fluency in Sinhala or Tamil. Understanding of English preferred.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted work authorization in Sri Lanka.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Cleaning the office space and surrounding areas daily.
  • Keeping the pantry and toilets clean.
  • Making and serving tea/coffee for staff and visitors.
  • Making Photocopies.
  • Going to the bank for cash withdrawals, deposits, and other related work.
  • Support in making bill payments, small purchases, and courier.
  • Support in handling incoming/outgoing mail and other materials for delivery.
  • Ensuring that equipment maintenance services are properly carried out.
  • Reporting maintenance issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Keep the office equipment and kitchen equipment clean.
  • Replacing toners and cartridges for photocopier and printers.
  • Providing logistical support for workshops organized in the office and external sites.
  • Tracking and maintaining kitchen supplies and cleaning materials.
  • Disposing garbage regularly.
  • Watering and maintaining garden areas regularly.
  • Maintaining the water motor and periodically cleaning the overhead water tank.
  • Other support duties as needed.

This position is eligible for Telework. The eligible employee is a regular, full-time Sri Lanka-based staff who works from a worksite outside the Sri Lanka office for one or more days a week.

This position is not eligible for Immigration Sponsorship.
