We seek a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst Customer Value to join our dynamic team in the Australian broadband industry. You will be crucial in analysing large consumer datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will utilise your expertise in Power BI to develop visually compelling dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data to stakeholders.

Our Colombo office is located in CBD Business Centre, Colombo-1 with AEST working hours.

What will you do?

Data Analysis:

• Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to extract meaningful insights from complex data.

• Conduct in-depth data investigations to address business challenges and provide recommendations.

• Utilise Power BI and other data visualisation tools to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into effective visualisations.

• Create visually appealing and intuitive reports communicating key metrics and trends.

Data Modelling and Querying:

• Design and develop data models using SQL or query languages to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

• Optimise data models for efficient querying and performance.

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Data Governance and Quality:

• Implement data governance processes and standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Identify and resolve data quality issues by conducting data profiling and validation.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish data governance best practices.

Insights and Recommendations:

• Collaborate with Consumer Segment stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and provide actionable insights.

• Communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst in the Telecommunication / Broadband / B2C industry or a related field.

• Advanced knowledge of PowerBI (including DAX, Power Query, dashboard development and data visualisation)

• Advanced knowledge of SQL (writing/debugging /optimisation)

• Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data mining methods.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
