Job Title: Sales Manager – Sri Lanka

Position Overview:
This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Sales India, Sri Lanka & Bhutan, representing Amangalla & Amanwella. The Sales Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of the sales strategy for all key segments within the designated regions. The role involves aligning with the overall global sales strategy and specifically ensuring the delivery of room revenue and occupancy targets.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Implementation:
- Implement sales strategies for all revenue-generating departments, including Rooms, Spa, F&B, and Experiences.
- Assist the Regional Director of Sales (RDOS) in preparing the Sales budget and Rooms revenue budget for the resorts.
- Develop and implement a sales action plan and budget for Leisure, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), Corporate accounts, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs).
- Representation and Relationship Management:
- Represent all Aman properties from a sales perspective across the specific markets and maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers in all key segments.
- Ensure the achievement of room revenue and occupancy targets through the development and execution of a regional sales strategy, excellent customer service, and protection of the brand integrity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property teams through regular dialogue and proactively design and implement short-, medium-, and long-term tactical strategies to drive business to their hotels.
- Business Development:
- Focus on business development and solicitation of business opportunities with sound analytics, plans, and events supported by return on investment information.
- Assess marketing opportunities and trends that complement Aman’s potential target audience and gather market intelligence on clients and competitor information.
- Organize regular sales trips locally to cover targeted sales activities.
- Conduct a minimum of 15 sales calls weekly and submit a weekly report including a summary of key appointments and return on investment.
- Make sales calls to target existing and new accounts, including Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Protocol Offices, Ministries, MICE and Creative Marketing agencies, corporate accounts, wedding and incentive planners, as well as potential partners such as airlines and tourist boards.
- Events and Trade Shows:
- Represent Aman at trade shows, industry events, sales missions, showcases, and consumer shows when required.
- Assist trade partners with organizing FAM stays at Aman properties and host familiarization visits to selected resorts from key markets in the region.
- CRM and Reporting:
- Update and maintain consistent information on all accounts and meeting information in the company CRM platform.
- Log short and long-term sales and marketing activities and strategies.
- Work closely with RDOS, responding in a timely manner to projects, submitting reports, and completing administrative tasks when requested.
- Lead weekly sales and forecast meetings.
- Agreements and Marketing:
- Implement annual Sales and Marketing agreements with key DMC partners for the hotel collection.
- Proactively anticipate market-specific holidays and celebrations bringing high demand.
- Assess B2B and B2C marketing opportunities and trends that complement Aman’s potential target audience and gather market intelligence on clients and competitor information.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Preferred to have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are preferred.
- Education: University Degree or equivalent required.
- Skills:
- Progressive career path and acknowledged track record within Sales & Marketing in the luxury hospitality field.
- Strategic Sales & Marketing expert with a strong focus in this discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Adaptable and flexible with the capacity to set high goals and standards for an integrated collaborative approach between departments.
