About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior Executive – HR to join our dynamic team in Colombo. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of HR processes, maintaining compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in human resources management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle employee inquiries and conflict resolution effectively.

Main Job Duties:

Human Resources Management:

  1. HR Processes Execution:
    • Execute HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
    • Ensure all HR activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Employee Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  3. Talent Acquisition:
    • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
    • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies.
  4. Employee Relations:
    • Handle employee inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Address and resolve conflicts in a fair and efficient manner.
    • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and trust among employees.
  5. Compliance and Legal:
    • Ensure all HR activities comply with local labor laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated with changes in labor laws and implement necessary changes in HR practices.
  6. Performance Management:
    • Assist in the performance evaluation process.
    • Provide support in developing performance improvement plans for underperforming employees.
  7. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and assist in organizing training programs.
    • Support employee development initiatives and career progression plans.
  8. HR Reporting:
    • Prepare regular HR reports for management review.
    • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to improve HR practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in human resources management, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • A professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of HR software and systems is preferred.

  • Base Salary: LKR 40,000 – 50,000 per month.
