In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to our Finance Accounting Policies, driving profitability, cost awareness, and efficiency across the Air Logistics organization. Your Role:

As an Air Logistics Revenue Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, and gross profit confirmation in alignment with Kuehne+Nagel’s Finance Accounting Policies. You will also be instrumental in driving the improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintaining the accuracy and consistency of all operational finance data throughout its life cycle. Your role will require close collaboration with various teams, including Customer Care (CCL), Operational Care (OCC), and Field Sales, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Recognition and Invoicing:
    • Ensure timely revenue recognition, invoicing, and gross profit confirmation in accordance with the Finance Accounting Policy.
    • Monitor and manage the accuracy of revenue recognition processes to maximize profitability.
  2. Supplier Invoice Management:
    • Check and index incoming supplier invoices, ensuring all transactions are accrued without error.
    • Identify, initiate, and resolve any rate discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
  3. Forwarding Sub-Ledger (FSL) Management:
    • Ensure the timely closing of the forwarding sub-ledger (FSL) for all files.
    • Coordinate with the Customer Care (CCL) and Operational Care (OCC) teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Charge Codes and Tariff Standardization:
    • Standardize charge codes and tariffs for invoicing and payables to maintain consistency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with the Pricing Manager and team to drive local charge maintenance in AirRates and TQT.
  5. KPI Improvement:
    • Drive the improvement of relevant KPIs, such as AutoFSL and Final Charge Code Automation (FCCA) rates, in collaboration with the CCL and OCC teams.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
  6. Operational Finance Data Management:
    • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of all operational finance data over its life cycle, from initiation to closure.
    • Regularly review and audit financial data to maintain high standards of financial integrity.
  7. Credit Limit Adjustments and Maintenance:
    • Work closely with Field Sales and Customer Care teams to manage and adjust credit limits for customers.
    • Ensure that credit limits are maintained accurately and in line with company policies.
  8. CASS Challenge Resolution:
    • Lead the resolution of CASS (Cargo Account Settlement Systems) challenges and work on process improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve any discrepancies in CASS reporting.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor’s Degree or a recognized professional qualification in a relevant field, such as Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry is highly desirable.
    • Experience in financial management, invoicing, and revenue recognition is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, with experience in operational finance data management.
  • Attributes:
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
