Job Description:

As a Seat & Cabin Interiors Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and aesthetic appeal of aircraft interiors. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various components of the aircraft cabin, including seats, carpets, overhead compartments, and interior panels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Repair: Install and repair aircraft seats, upholstery, carpets, and other cabin interior components according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of cabin interiors to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and functionality of cabin components.
  3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to cabin interiors, such as malfunctioning seat mechanisms, loose upholstery, or damaged panels. Take appropriate measures to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
  4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance and repair tasks. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant aviation safety standards.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts replaced, and inspections conducted. Complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and team members to coordinate work schedules, share expertise, and support overall operational efficiency.
  7. Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of quality in all aspects of cabin interior work. Ensure that all installations and repairs meet quality control criteria and customer expectations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on cabin interiors preferred.
  • Knowledge of aircraft interior systems, materials, and components.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and repair tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Relevant certifications or training in aircraft maintenance or interior refurbishment is advantageous.
